AEPSi Quick Start Guide


This is only a brief “Quick Start” document. It is recommended that you refer to the online manual located under the Help Tab of the AEPSi system.

 

When you receive your e-mail that you have been entered into the AEPSi system, follow the link and set your password.

Be sure you read the entire e-mail you receive!  Your user name is at the bottom.  The system defaults to your e-mail address as your user name.

You will need to go under the "My Profile Tab" to add your address, phone number and any other information you would like.  It is also possible to change your user name under that tab.  Some users are using their first initial last name-much easier to remember.

 Make sure you write your user name and password down and keep it in a safe place.

Navigating AEPSi:

 You can click on the tabs at the top of the page or each section from the opening page to navigate through the system.

 

My AEPSi:

The home page:  from here you can access the different sections of the system. A child can be searched by, first name, last name or ID number.

           

     To add a new child:  Click on the “Add New Child” button under My Children. The “Create Child Record” will open, fill in all required spaces as marked by the Red Arrow. Fill in the AEPS Level II – this is the Part B or 3 – 5 years. All other spaces not marked with the Red Arrow are optional, and may be filled in at any time. When completed, click on the save button. This will bring you to the home page.

 

Practice

 The following is a recommendation to practice with the system.

 Practice by entering a fictitious child, fill in all the information and “play” with the system. Fill out and generate reports and etc. Sometimes the best way to learn something new, is just to check it out. However, it is VERY important that you delete this record. This is done in Edit Child Profile on the Child Summary page – Click on the “Delete Child” button, located under the save button. The system will not know that this is not a real child and will count against our numbers. Our license allows for a limited number of children to be in the AEPSi system.

 

REMEMBER:

 If you create a fictitious record, DELETE it when you have finished practicing!!

 

My Children:

This page gives a list of the children that you are serving. From here you can click on the child’s name and open his/her summary page. You can also add a new child from this page.

 

My Groups:

You are able to manage your groups from this page.

 

My Reports:

This is the page you go to generate reports.

 

My Calendar:

You can keep track of events that you schedule for yourself or children, such as IEP’s.

 

My Toolkit:

Resources and updates are found here.

 

My Profile:

You may enter this at anytime to update or make changes to your profile. Only the required fields were filled in at registration. You may also change your password from this page.

 

Help:

The online manual is located on this page. It gives detailed instructions for each section of the system. There will also be a 15 – 20 minute tutorial which should be very beneficial in learning the system.

 

 

IMPORTANT!!

 As we continue with AEPSi it will very important that when a child is exited from your program, his/her record will need to be exported to a disc or other format, then deleted from AEPSi.
