Q.  What is Wernicke's Area?

A.  Wernicke's Area is located mostly in the left hemisphere temporal lobe.  It is crucial for speech.

Q.    What were once thought of as just "arms rests" for the brain?

A.    The developed of the brain imagining has shown us that the temporal lobes play an integral part in memory, emotional stability, learning and socialization.  The most precious treasures we have in life are the images we store in the banks of our brains.  The temporal lobes, on either side of the brain behind the eyes and underneath the temples, store memories and images;  they store our experience.  They help us define out sense of ourselves.
