Autism Team

SKACD believes in providing accurate evaluation procedures for students with exceptionalities.  Our teachers and related service professionals recieve ongoing professional development and training related to best practices in identification and support for a wide variety of student needs.

Evaluating students for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is a particularly unique skill set, due to the broad spectrum of skills and needs of students with Autism.  Since ASD evaluations are complex, SKACD has developed an Autism Team to support students, families, and school districts.

The Autism Team has two primary roles: to identify students with Autism, and to provide support for those students. The Autism Team is composed of teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and special education administrators.
