Secondary Special Education Programs

Students at the secondary school level (typically considered grades 6 and above) have access to a greater number of regular education options. As a result, students may need additional support in a wider range of activities. Secondary students are typically able to participate in extra-curricular activities, select their own elective courses, and advance toward meeting their post-secondary goals. Special education transitional services often take a larger role in IEP team discussions at the secondary level.
