Paraprofessionals

SKACD employs several hundred paraprofessionals. These critical employees work directly with students with exceptonalities across our member districts. Our paraprofessional team works with a variety of teachers and related service providers. Our paras receive continual professional development and training from their direct supervisors and other professionals. We hire new paraprofessionals year-round and no previous educational work experience is required to apply for employment. Paraprofessional salary and benefit information is available online.

We hire several types of paraprofessionals:

• Instructional Paraprofessionals – work primarily in classrooms
• Transportation Paraprofessionals – work primarily on school busses
• Speech-Language Paraprofessionals – provide assistance to our SLP team
